I am originally from Mesa, Arizona and received my Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from Arizona State University with a minor in Biological Sciences. As an undergrad, I had the amazing experience of studying the hot springs at Yellowstone National Park which is where I developed a passion for environmental science. Since graduating, I have worked as a chemist in the cannabis industry and assisted in running biology and chemistry labs at Diablo Valley College. I hope that by completing the EPM program, I can start a career path focused on studying and managing the natural environment of the Earth in sustainable, healthy, and equitable ways. I plan to specialize in conservation management and climate change science and policy with hopes of one day influencing and contributing to policy work as an environmental scientist.
