  • Creation of the environmental justice specialization
  • Former EPMDC co-chair, Antonia Davetas, has created this resource guide for students
  • Hosting of a variety of student events including film screenings, podcast discussions and roundtable discussions
  • Played a pivotal role in engaging students and alumni in the EPM admissions process
  • Hosting of quarterly open forum meetings to update interested parties on accomplishments and future goals

Work in Progress

  • EPMDC is finalizing a ENV290 seminar that focuses on reading and discussing environmental justice literature for academic units that can be put towards the EJ specialization

Further Work

  • Making connections with local professionals to host as speakers at EPDMC events
  • Connecting with faculty on campus to create long-lasting partnerships for EPM students seeking EJ electives
  • The EPMDC is working with program leadership to add an EJ course requirement to the rigorous coursework of the EPM program
