- Class of 2022
Denise received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara in 2014. After graduation, she worked for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy as an intern under the Parks Stewardship division. During her time as an intern, Denise fell in love with participating in community science projects. She served as a Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service for 4 years, conducting resource monitoring programs for evaluating rare, threatened, and endangered plant and animal species. Most recently, Denise assisted with habitat restoration projects along bay tidal marshes as the Restoration Project Specialist for Save the Bay in Oakland, CA. Denise is looking forward to focusing on statistics and data analysis courses in order to support future species monitoring projects.
