The Governor's Office of Planning & Research (OPR) is seeking to hire a student assistant. The main responsibilities of the Planning and Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) team include: Developing and maintaining technical guidelines and advisories for interpretation and implementation of California state laws; reviewing and analyzing proposed housing, land use, transportation, and conservation bills; providing technical assistance to local governments and other stakeholders; collaborating with research institutes and other state agencies to develop effective data strategies and policies that achieve California’s priorities to address climate and planning issues; conducting interagency coordination and collaboration to review data, plans, policies and strategies of other agencies and engaging them to review LCI’s plans and documents; and, soliciting input from local government and a variety of stakeholders for the guidelines, technical advisories, and strategic plans created by LCI.
