What You Will Do

  • Serving as a liaison to direct technical staff on project teams.

  • Managing project deliverables with document production staff.

  • Monitoring project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

  • Organizing and facilitating meetings (such as preparing agendas, developing and presenting meeting content, and preparing summaries).

  • Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and agency staff.

  • Provide feedback, authoring and reviewing analytical sections of environmental documents.

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental policy, environmental planning, environmental science, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience, preferably in environmental consulting, environmental law, or working for a federal/state environmental agency

  • 5+ years of experience working with and managing complex documents related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and/or the Endangered Species Act (ESA)

  • Experience with project management and task leadership

What We’d Like You To Have

  • Experience with water resources, flood management, transportation, development, or other infrastructure development in California.

  • Desire to understand highly technical aspects of transportation projects including permitting, resource effects, and agency requirements

  • Demonstrable technical writing experience

  • Experience overseeing development of technical and/or environmental compliance reports

  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and agency staff

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
