Helen Maschino

Helen Maschino graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2021 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Ecology and Evolution. Her experience includes laboratory internships, notably the USDA Cereal Disease Laboratory in St. Paul, Minnesota during the summer of 2019. Since graduating, she has completed two full AmeriCorps terms with Our City Forest, an urban forestry non-profit in San Jose, California. For her second term, she worked as team lead, where she managed lawn conversion projects for residents throughout Santa Clara County. Working for a non-profit has empowered her to pursue a specialization in environmental justice while completing her Master's program.
