Bio
Anna graduated from California State University- Sacramento in 2024 with a B.S in Environmental Studies. Her current work is with the City of Elk Grove’s Recycling & Waste Division where she shares a role in implementing California recycling policies at the city government level. She assisted in the development of the City of Elk Grove’s Climate Ambassador Program (a volunteer group designed to connect residents to their City representatives to communicate community attitudes and behaviors on climate change which are reflected in the City’s Climate Action Plan) by educating volunteers on climate communication skills and providing a comprehensive training on best recycling practices. Anna is an advocate for corporate sustainability and has experience engaging businesses in edible food recovery efforts and source separating materials. Anna is specializing in Climate Change Science & Policy and strives to advance research based environmental policies that mitigate climate change.
