Bio
Junna received her B.S. in Environmental Science and Management with honors from the University of California, Davis. As an undergraduate, she participated in research examining the factors that influence scientific information use in NEPA decision-making through analysis of Environmental Impact Statements. Her honors thesis analyzed the effects of prescribed grazing on native and exotic plant species in North American grasslands and outcome interactions with regime design and climatic variables. Junna also has experience managing multi-level environmental projects, working with professionals and stakeholders on local environmental issues through her service on the board of the ASUCD Environmental Policy and Planning Commission. In the EPM program, Junna plans to specialize in both Conservation Management and Spatial Information Systems to improve environmental decision-making at the intersection of science and policy. She is eager to develop the comprehensive background and technical skills necessary to engage environmental challenges at various stages of the management process and prepare for a career in the environmental public sector.
