Desmond Colley

Desmond received a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis & Planning from UC Davis, with a focus in Energy & Transportation Planning and a minor in Economics. He served eight years in the U.S. Navy as Tactical Helicopter Aircrewman and Rescue Swimmer, gaining extensive oceanography knowledge, which inspired his pursuit of environmental studies. As a native of the Sacramento region, Desmond considers the importance of California policies and innovation as a model to make progressive changes toward sustainable economies and environmental protection. As an Environmental Policy & Management graduate student, he looks forward to exploring environmental economics & management and improving his understanding of how policy can drive effective decision-making to create systematic change to preserve the future of California.
