The interdisciplinary nature of UC Davis allows students to register for classes across departments (and schools). Students in the EPM program have the opportunity to specialize in a topical area of interest related to their career goals and practicum project. Congratulations on completing your first-year in EPM! Now that you have most of the core courses under your belt, you have the opportunity to explore electives, concentrate on a specialization and prepare for the capstone Policy Clinic. Your second-year is also a great time to continue to build your professional networks, get involved in a student organization or professional association and identify a job placement strategy.
