I have just completed my year-long practicum and internship with the US EPA located in Washington, D.C and look forward to entering the full-time role of program analyst with the Information Exchange Partnership Branch.

Abegail is interning at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Region 9 office in San Francisco, CA. The EPA’s mission is to protect human health and the environment. Specifically, the agency ensures that everyone enjoys the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards, as well as equal access to the decision-making process regardless of race, gender, income, etc.
Over the summer, I have been working with the National Park Service as a Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA). For the past few months, I have been in the orientation phase of the internship program but now I am beginning to work on some of my practicum deliverables. These include an outreach plan, habitat restoration and conservation projects, service learning curriculum, and diversity, equity and inclusion training.
