Nicole graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver in 2022 with a BS in Biology. After graduation, she spent a summer at Rocky Mountain National Park as a Research Assistant with the Tomback Forest Ecology lab where she collected spectral reflectivity data from various vegetation types with the goal to classify satellite imagery. Afterwards, she moved on to working in an analytical lab where she tested for inorganic parameters in water for city-wide programs such as Denver’s Lead Reduction Program. While at UC Davis, she served as Community Relations Manager and Legacy Night Co-Chair in the EPM Social Committee. For her practicum, Nicole has been interning with Stantec Consulting where she has supported the implementation of major California water policies. After graduation, she will be continuing to work with Stantec from her home state of Colorado. Nicole is deeply passionate about protecting our water resources and implemeting plans and policies that address environmental justice issues.
