Trust Neighborhoods is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. This Senior Project Manager will work across several neighborhoods, managing and advancing the diligence, setup, and success of each neighborhood partner’s setup of a Mixed-Income Neighborhood Trust (MINT). This is a highly cross-functional role, and will work closely both with members of the Trust Neighborhoods team and members of the community organizations with which Trust Neighborhoods partners. We are looking for an experienced professional seeking to use their skills in service of communities and in development of the MINT model. This role involves working with community partners, investors, lenders, lawyers, and other key partners.
Specifically, an individual filling this role will: ● Report to the Chief Operating Officer and project manage the MINT setup process from start to finish, including early diligence, structuring and underwriting, capital raising, resident engagement and governance, and legal formation ● Develop internal approval documentation, fundraising materials, and other project-critical work product ● Spend in-person time with partners and stakeholders in MINT neighborhoods ● Coordinate across partners on the development of each MINT, including neighborhood-based organization leadership, residents, developers, property managers, investors, donors, public officials, and other key stakeholders ● Work with Director of Finance and Director of Real Estate and Planning on assumptions and refinement of financial projections and underwriting ● Maintain effective communication with internal team and external stakeholders, seeking input, troubleshooting issues, and elevating priorities ● Have interest in being part of an entrepreneurial growing team Experience and qualifications: ● 2+ years professional experience with community development, real estate, or project management ● Experience managing complex projects from start to finish ● Experience managing relationships with external stakeholders ● Experience with summarizing and presenting complex information through Google Suite (Slides, Docs) and Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word) ● Strong attention to detail and process ● Comfort with managing relationships and competing priorities ● Passion for affordable housing and neighborhood development ● Experience working in communities / neighborhoods preferred ● Spanish language proficiency preferred Salary & logistics: ● Full-time role beginning in Q1, 2024 or sooner ● Based in Kansas City, MO or remote ● Salary based on experience ($90,000-115,000 per year)
