Bio
Erica Parker (she/her) is a second-year master's student in the Environmental Policy and Management (EPM) program at UC Davis, specializing in Sustainable Food Systems & Agriculture. She currently serves as a Policy Associate at Californians Against Waste (CAW), where she works on advancing legislation and programs related to food waste reduction, organics recycling, landfills, and climate change. Erica earned her B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from California State University, Sacramento in 2021. She spent two years as an environmental chemist and quality assurance specialist before pivoting toward environmental policy to drive systemic change. At UC Davis, she merges her technical background with her passion for sustainability to advocate for equitable, science-informed waste and food system policies.
