Job Description

R3’s team consists of experienced professionals with backgrounds
in public and private sectors, engineering, resource management,
environmental science, communications, and political science. We have a
passion for solid waste management and sustainability, and the ability to
produce and deliver expert analysis and recommendations to our clients
and the communities they serve.
Together, we have assisted communities in implementing a variety of
solid waste and recycling programs and have conducted hundreds of
solid waste management consulting projects throughout California and
the United States. With our firm expanding, we desire to bring on talented
people to our Sacramento and Bay Area teams.

an entry-level associate to a senior project manager. Salary and

The Position // Your Day-to-Day
 — Complete technical analysis for local governments 
related to regulations impacting recycling and solid 
waste programs
 — Support the development of Request for Proposals and 
Franchise Agreements for Recycling and Solid Waste 
Services
 — Assist in in the development of client reports and 
presentations
 — Facilitate city, county, and jurisdictional compliance with 
key sustainability and solid waste regulations
 — Research and identify key waste reduction and circular 
economy strategies
 — Complete financial, performance, and operations audits
 — Support innovative zero waste and materials 
management planning efforts 
 — Work independently and collaboratively to achieve high 
expectations in billable workload
 — Take ownership of workload and personal success within 
the company
The Requirements // Our Expectations
 — Bachelor’s Degree or higher (technical degrees are a plus)
 — 2+ years of relevant experience (industry experience is a plus)
 — 2+ years producing complete and client-ready draft 
documentation
 — Excellent writing and analytical skills
 — Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
 — Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
