Climate and Energy Policy Manager

Organization
Conservation Strategy Group
Job Description

CSG is seeking a Manager of Climate and Energy Policy to develop and implement policies that support
an expansion in utility-scale clean energy in California. The main focus of the position will be on grid
infrastructure, including identifying policies that support the deployment of new and expanded
transmission lines. These projects are essential to enable investment in priority clean energy generation,
including offshore wind, geothermal and solar. There will also be scope for the Manager to develop new
decarbonization ideas in collaboration with the Director, whether that be related to specific generation
and storage technologies, the distribution system, and more. The Manager may be requested to provide
support on other decarbonization issues, such as low-carbon fuels (hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel),
industrial decarbonization (cement), biomass carbon removal and direct air capture with storage.
