About: 
The Environmental Policy Symposium will feature 20-minute conversations around environmental policy at the intersection economy, education, agriculture and fisheries. The conversations are based on research that Environmental Policy and Management masters students have been working on as a part of the Environmental Policy Clinic, led by Professor Abre' Conner. 2:00-2:20- Assessing proposed environmental strategies and tools in Fair Trade USA's environmental model in collaboration with Fair Trade USA

2:25-2:45- The Role of AI in the circular economy in collaboration with California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle)

2:50-3:10- Difficulties encountered by farmworker communities in accessing their rights and benefits in California in collaboration with California Department of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and UC Berkeley

3:15-3:35- Strategic plan to revise state and federal policies that limit the implementation of green schoolyard projects in collaboration with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE Urban Forestry Program) and Green SchoolYards America

3:40-4:00- The Extirpation of salmon culture in the San Joaquin River Basin in collaboration with NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service

4:05-4:25- Identifying overlap between blue carbon ecosystems and vulnerable communities for research and policy recommendations in collaboration with Ocean Science Trust
