Zayleen Kalalo

Zayleen is from Alaska, and spent most of her childhood in Barrow, AK before moving to Anchorage. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Alaska Anchorage, majoring in Natural Science with a concentration in Pre-Health professions. After graduating Zayleen worked for the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game for three years, documenting customary and traditional use of wild resources for indigenous groups throughout Alaska. She also worked a summer in Bristol Bay conducting age, sex, length sampling, for commercial caught sockeye Salmon. She would like to specialize in either conservation or environmental justice.
