Bio

She completed her B.A. in Politics from King's College London in 2018, specialising in political theory and postcolonial studies. She has since been based in Karachi, Pakistan, working in legal, cultural, and maritime archaeological research for various think tanks. During her time in Karachi, she was heavily involved in climate activism as well as in the growing urban forestry movement in the city.

During her time in the EPM program, Tara earned specializations in Food Systems and sustainable agriculture and city and regional planning.  Tara is passionate about community-level environmental justice and food sovereignty, and has enjoyed exploring these ideas in her work at the Ecological Garden at the UC Davis Student Farm. For her Practicum project, Tara wrote an equity report on LA County's Safe Clean Water Program with Heal the Bay. For her capstone policy clinic project she worked with a team to research the Role of AI in the Circular Economy in collaboration with CalRecycle.
