Bio
Shivam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from CSU Stanislaus and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. At Virginia Tech, Shivam conducted research on carbon capture technologies in Dr. Louis Madsen’s lab, igniting his passion for improving air quality and researching sustainable solutions. With a deep commitment to tackling climate change, Shivam is eager to contribute to projects that improve air quality in Northern and Central California. He has leveraged his background in chemistry and environmental policy to drive impactful change at the intersection of science and public policy. During his time at UC Davis, he has held an internship with nonprofit SacBreathe, Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District, and has been a graduate student researcher with Dr. Clare Cannon's Community Air Project. He hopes to use these diverse experiences to pursue an air quality focused career that integrates community voices and pursues environmental justice.
