Sara Saelee is an environmental professional with nearly ten years of experience in California’s water sector, working in both technical regulatory and scientific roles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Sacramento State and is a proud first‑generation college graduate. Her academic and professional interests center on water resources management, climate change science and policy, and environmental justice. As the daughter of immigrant parents, she is committed to advancing a future where race, gender, and circumstance do not determine the quality of the environment people experience. She is excited to grow as a leader in the environmental field and aims to step into roles that drive equitable, science‑based decision-making.
