Ruchika Jaiswal

Ruchika earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from UC Davis. During her first year in the EPM program, she served as the Co-Chair for the EPM student diversity committee and worked as a Graduate Student Researcher with the UCD Feminist Research Institute, focused on project planning with the Environmental Justice Leader Program.  In her second year, she completed a specialization in Food Systems and Sustainable Agriculture and Spatial Information Science. Ruchika completed her Practicum with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service using ArcGIS Pro to study their agricultural easement criteria.  She also interned with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District to understand more about where electricity is coming from and how SMUD is reaching their goal of 100% renewable energy by 2030.
