After receiving a Biology and Secondary Education degree at Saint Francis University, Paul taught high school environmental science for 16 years in Pittsburgh, PA, where he focused on helping students identify and address systemic societal issues. He moved to UC Davis to broaden his practical skills and implement the systemic environmental changes he taught in his classroom. At UC Davis, Paul is working as a Graduate Research Assistant, studying water allocation issues in rural California and the intersection between resource use and habitat enrichment. After graduating, Paul is continuing at UC Davis, pursuing a PhD in Geography to learn how to implement systemic changes best to incentivize environmental stewardship.
