Bio
Born on the East Coast and raised in White Pines, CA., Mr. Henderson is a California water and public policy veteran managing Government Affairs and Rural Policy for the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in West Sacramento. Prior to joining RCAC, Mr. Henderson spent nearly a decade with the California State Water Resources Control Board as the Surface Water Quality Portfolio analyst with the Office of Legislative Affairs and as the Nonpoint Source and DoD Site Cleanup program analyst for the Division of Water Quality. He began his state service with the Governor's Office of Planning and Research (now the Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation) staffing Governor Brown's Drought Task Force and assisting with negotiation of the State Groundwater Management Act in 2014. Mr. Henderson earned a B.A Political Science from UC Davis in 2014, and worked as a student assistant for Davis' Department of Plant Biology. His previous work includes GPS surveying and trail construction for the US Bureau of Reclamation, serving as a wildland firefighter for the US Forest Service, and ballroom dance instruction.
