Bio
Nathalie graduated from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) in 2024 with a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management, specializing in Occupational Safety & Health Management and minoring in Sustainability and Justice. During her studies, she worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Kern National Wildlife Refuge, researching the spatial and temporal distribution of an endangered shrew. She presented her findings at the San Joaquin Natural Communities Conference and the CSUB Sustainability Event. Nathalie has also conducted various biological surveys, including small mammal trapping and vernal pool assessments. After graduating, Nathalie joined Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds as a Safety Trainer. In this role, she developed standard operating procedures, created specialized training presentations, and conducted audits to strengthen safety protocols. Now, as part of the EPM program, she is pursuing a specialization in Sustainable Agriculture, aiming to address environmental justice issues in the agricultural industry and contribute to a more sustainable future.
