Luis Vargas Solis

Luis Vargas is an environmental scientist currently working as a consultant at Integral Consulting, Inc. He earned his B.S. in Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, where he completed his senior thesis on the effects of salinity on biogeochemical cycling in coastal wetland soils. In his current role, Mr. Vargas has contributed to projects investigating and remediating chemical contamination in soils and water through field sampling, data analysis, GIS modeling, and technical reports. During his studies in the EPM program at UC Davis, he will focus on species and habitat conservation, water management, and climate change policy. Mr. Vargas hopes to one day practice ecosystem and natural resource management at the state level.
