Bio

JieQi Yan began her academic journey with a B.S. in Geological Sciences from California State University, Fullerton. At UC Davis, she has actively engaged in the environmental community through her participation in the Ted Bradshaw Engaged Student Scholar Program and the UC President’s Bonnie Reiss Climate Action Fellowship Program. In the M.S. Environmental Policy and Management program, she served two years as a student officer for the Association of Environmental Professionals Student Chapter, gaining experience in leadership in environmental advocacy. Professionally, JieQi supported the Transformative Climate Community program as an intern at the Governor's Office of Strategic Growth Council and is currently supporting environmental cleanup at the CalEPA Department of Toxic Substances Control as a student assistant. Looking forward, JieQi is set to begin her professional career as an Environmental Protection Specialist with the US Environmental Protection Agency upon graduation.
