Ethan Nichols

Ethan recently earned a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability with Summa Cum Laude distinction from San Diego State University. During his undergraduate program, he joined the SAGE Project, where he developed a comprehensive policy report for the City of Lemon Grove’s Tree Planting Initiative. He presented his findings to the City Council of Lemon Grove, resulting in the planting of hundreds of trees to improve residents’ quality of life and reduce the urban heat-island effect. He has since written a research paper based on the tree planting initiative regarding urban tree preferences for climate action that is currently under review for publication. Ethan hopes to continue his work in urban environmental policy, including city planning and implementation of climate action plans.
