Eric Kregel

Eric received a B.S. in Geography with a specialization in climate, water, and ecosystems from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2022. During his undergraduate years, he worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for multiple academic research projects. One of these research projects focused on studying the rising trend of ownership of agricultural land by mining companies in central Nevada and how it can impact the local natural environment. After graduating, Eric volunteered for the Sierra Club in their effort to advocate for better environmental legislation in Nevada while working for the ski industry. During his time within the EPM program, Eric hopes to specialize in Climate Change Science & Policy along with Politics & the Policy Process to further his passion in finding pathways to implement comprehensive policies that will lead to the mitigation of the negative impacts of climate change.
