Desmond Colley

Desmond received both his M.S. in Environmental Policy & Management (EPM) and B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis & Planning (EPAP) from UC Davis, with a specialization in Energy & Transportation Planning and a minor in Economics. He served eight years in the U.S. Navy as an AWR Tactical Helicopter Aircrewman, Rescue Swimmer, & Sensor Operator, gaining extensive oceanography knowledge, which inspired his pursuit of environmental studies. As a native of the Sacramento region, Desmond considers the importance of California innovation and policies as a model to make progressive changes toward environmental protection and sustainable economies. As an EPM graduate, he looks forward to using his skills as an environmental policy leader and advocate to encourage systematic change in preserving the future and values of California.
