Alexander Liesegang

Alex recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. During his undergraduate studies, Alex did research on how our scientific understanding of climate change has evolved since 1970, as well as ways to quantify the flood protection value of wetlands. He also worked with Tree Davis through the College Corps to plant many trees around Davis. As a recent graduate, Alex realized his true calling is to become a translational researcher/implementer in environmental policy and work to bridge the gap between cutting-edge environmental research findings and the development of practical policies to address pressing environmental issues. What's more motivating than working to help change the world? By focusing on what Alex can control, rather than what’s out of his hands, he is choosing to make the world a better place. Alex believes any positive change, no matter how small, is better than nothing.
