POSITION TITLE: Assistant Project Manager and Permit Coordination
LOCATION: RCDSMM Office – 4505 Las Virgenes Rd., Suite 215, Calabasas, CA 91302 and Topanga Lagoon
HOURS: Part – Time (Between 20-30 hours per week)
This position is funded for a minimum of 2.5 years with potential extension and growth opportunities within the RCD.

The RCDSMM is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated biologist/ restoration manager to help manage overall project design, grant scheduling, invoicing, reporting, and prepare/coordinate permit applications for the Topanga Lagoon Restoration Project through at least December 2026.
This job will be supervised by the Senior Conservation Biologist.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Assist the Project Manager with implementing the scope of work, permit coordination, meeting scheduling, contractor management, grant management and invoicing taking the Topanga Lagoon Restoration project from conceptual through 90% design and permitting and other tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Represent the RCDSMM at public meetings and events, including some evenings and weekends (as needed).
- Coordinate with the National Park Service, State Parks, CDFW, NMFS, USFWS and other resource agencies.
- In-office presence required 1-2 days/week, flexible schedule coordinated with supervisor.
- Complete other tasks as identified by supervisor.
