The intern will learn about facilitating a variety of water-focused environmental education programs provided to school-age youth throughout Solano County. The intern will develop teaching skills, learn how to develop curiosity in children, and inspire them to explore, understand, and care for their local watershed. The intern will receive training and does not need prior knowledge in natural history or ecology.
The intern selected for this position will report to the Solano RCD office located in Dixon, CA, and will attend lessons and field trips in the cities of Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, Vallejo, and some unincorporated areas of Solano County. The intern will travel to sites in Solano RCD vehicles driven by staff.
