STAFF PARK & RECREATION SPECIALIST – STRATEGIC PLANNING & RECREATION SERVICES DIVISION / GENERAL & RECREATION PLANNING UNIT / HEADQUARTERS
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters located at 715 P Street in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the under the direction of the Strategic Planning and Recreation Services Division’s General and Recreation Planning Manager.
This position will lead a small group of Park and Recreation Specialists and other staff working as a unit, responsible for development and implementation of a variety of planning and research projects critical to State Park operations, requiring creative solutions to complex outdoor recreation-related challenges, and clear, concise analyses and recommendations.
The successful candidate will possess current knowledge and familiarity with protocol, procedures, policies, and regulations pertaining to California State Parks planning, including principles of planning for recreational use of public lands, natural and cultural resource protection, interpretation and education, road and trail development, and other public facility development and management.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered.
