Job Description

Duties
 

  • Manages projects associated with trespass settlement funds for forest health, fuels reduction and habitat restoration purposes.
  • Develops and maintains plans and timelines for accomplishing key project milestones.
  • Ensures that project deliverables are on time, within budget, and of adequate quality.
  • Identifies the needed skillsets for staff or contractors to accomplish the needs of the project.
  • Communicate effectively to manage all cost recovery agreements and budget needs for the project.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in the NEPA (National Environmental Protection Act) process and documentation for the project.
  • Working knowledge of the BLM land management programs, regulations, policies, and practices to perform the full range of duties associated with project management.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with BLM, other federal, state and local agencies to facilitate effective communication and coordination through each project phase.
  • Effectively communicate expectations and timelines to proponents, BLM staff, and contractors and promptly resolve all conflicts.
  • Effectively communicate with people of varied backgrounds and points of view.
  • Coordinates with contractors to ensure, compliance with regulations, progress on project objectives and needs, expectations, and concerns are communicated clearly and timely.
