Sean Marks' interest in environmental science began with an internship through NOAA's southeast fisheries science center in his hometown of Miami FL. He went on to obtain his undergraduate degree in marine biology at UC Santa Barbara and subsequently obtained a graduate certificate in fisheries management through Oregon State University. During this time he interned with the Santa Barbara Coastal Long Term Ecological Research Lab, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and was employed as an aquaculturist with the Monterey Abalone Company. His interests include sustainability, conservation, and climate change science. He hopes to one day enter the field of environmental consulting.
