Kaitlyn grew up constantly spending time in the mountains of Idaho but moved north to receive her undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound where she was a double-major in Biology and Environmental Policy & Decision Making. After graduating she worked as a seasonal invasive species technician for the Idaho State Department of Agriculture, and then moved back to the Puget Sound to work as a hazardous waste technician and then Project Supervisor for ACTEnviro, managing hazardous waste compliance for the client Meta Reality Labs. While pursuing the EPM degree, Kaitlyn plans to specialize in Conservation Management. In the future, Kaitlyn wants to work on biodiversity conservation and helping endangered species, as well as integrating science into policy and management decisions.
