Akshita Singh

Akshita is originally from Madison, Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2021 with a BS in Biology. Akshita developed a passion for environmental advocacy while working as an Environmental Education and Outreach Director for the MSU chapter of the Climate Reality Project. While at Mississippi State, she co-founded the annual climate march, which works to address environmental and sustainability issues in the greater Starkville area. After graduating, she worked as an ecologist and regulatory specialist at Resource Environmental Solutions in Nashville, where she learned about stream and wetland restoration and mitigation banking. Akshita is excited to be a part of the UC Davis EPM program and hopes to deepen her passion for environmental justice and learn more about water regulation and agricultural policies.
