Desert Biologist

Wildlands is looking to hire a full-time field biologist with desert field experience to help manage and monitor approximately 50,000-acres of preserved desert tortoise habitat and desert lands throughout the Colorado and Mojave deserts. We are seeking an extremely independent, self-motivated biologist with a strong work ethic to work in remote desert locations. The candidate should have experience conducting field surveys, identifying desert flora and fauna, familiar with desert tortoise habitat, desert vegetation habitat types, and non-native vegetation. Job duties will also include fence and sign repair, and trash removal.
