Help map the future of conservation
At Westervelt Ecological Services (WES), we restore and conserve wetlands, streams, and endangered species habitats across the U.S. Our work helps offset environmental impacts from development—creating lasting ecological solutions that benefit landowners, agencies, communities, and the landscapes we protect.
With projects in 14 states, our teams collaborate closely with landowners, government agencies, businesses, and land trusts to turn data into action on the ground.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Sacramento, CA based Associate GIS Analyst to join our GIS team. In this role, you’ll support real-world conservation and restoration projects by turning geospatial data into clear, accurate maps and tools used by scientists, field crews, and decision-makers.
You’ll work closely with the GIS Manager and senior GIS staff, gaining hands-on experience with GIS analysis, web mapping, mobile data collection, and field technologies. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their GIS career who enjoys variety, learning new tools, and seeing their work directly impact conservation outcomes.
