About EIA-US:
The Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA-US) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying, investigating, and eradicating environmental crimes and abuses around the world. Our Climate Campaign works to eliminate powerful climate pollutants, strengthen global governance under the Montreal Protocol, expand ambition on non-CO₂ gases, and drive corporate accountability across the cooling and refrigeration sectors.
We combine policy analysis, investigative research, diplomacy, and strategic advocacy to tackle fast-moving global threats—from illicit chemical trade to unexplained emissions to slow uptake of climate-friendly technologies. The Climate Campaign intern will play a core role in supporting this work.
Position Summary:
The Climate Campaign Internship is a three-month opportunity, with the opportunity for an extension, for a highly motivated student or emerging professional with an interest in the intersection of web/digital design, climate policy, data analysis, mapping technologies, and environmental justice initiatives.
This role will focus on supporting the development and refinement of interactive web-based mapping tools using existing datasets and codebases. The intern will contribute to ongoing data analyses, web-mapping coding, and research efforts related to hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), nitrous oxide, and various fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-GHGs).
This position is designed as a hands-on learning experience, where the intern will work closely with team members and receive regular mentorship and guidance while contributing to active projects.
