Job Description
As a Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) you will have the opportunity to:
- Write and edit internal and public-facing documents, synthesizing information for different audiences
- Present at and facilitate meetings with a variety of interested parties, such as industry, non-profit organizations, community groups, and other government agencies
- Conduct technical reviews of scientific literature and data to identify chemicals and consumer products that pose hazards to people or the environment
- Lead projects and mentor team members to ensure the effective implementation of the SCP program
- Review notifications, reports, and Alternatives Analyses submitted by regulated entities to comply with the SCP regulations
- Analyze and develop regulations, policies, and legislation

- Communicates clearly and concisely via phone and video calls with interested parties, such as academics, industry, non-profit organizations, community groups, and other government agencies
- Has strong editing, writing, and presentation skills
- Possesses the ability to identify a challenging problem and independently formulate and execute a solution
- Maintains a well-organized and flexible approach appropriate for working in a dynamic environment
