This is a temporary position providing technical assistance to the Solano County Water Agency and Water Resources program, specifically, the Water Efficient Landscape Rebate program. Other job duties will include participating in education and outreach events, serving as a point of contact for customer inquiries, and assisting with other duties as assigned. The internship program will allow interns to learn about the role water conservation plays in managing crucial water resources. Additionally, interns will be introduced to various aspects of landscaping design and plant selection, specifically, the role of native plants in reducing water use and encouraging biodiversity. When needed, this position may also support other areas of the Water Resources Department, such the Water Quality and the Aquatic Invasive Species programs. This position will not exceed 40 hours/week or 1000 hours in a year. Experience or knowledge of water conservation is preferred but not required.
Employment Duration: June 2026 – December 2026
(internship duration may be extended dependent on Water Agency needs, not to exceed one year).
