Bio

Samantha is originally from Dallas, Texas and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Environmental Science. During that time, she assisted in research projects related to stormwater management with an emphasis on surrounding watershed health and the efficacy of soil moisture monitoring technology and its viability in agricultural settings. In her master's, Samantha is interested in the nexus between city planning and food systems, and how these disciplines intersect with and can perpetuate inequities in our most vulnerable communities. She hopes to address these issues in a career focused on food justice and equity-centered community engagement and planning.
