I am passionate about environmental issues that impact human well-being. With a background in civil engineering, my research has focused on waste management, air quality assessment, and identifying hazardous substances in cement industrial materials. I enrolled in the EPM Master’s program to understand the role of policy in protecting people and the environment from hazards. During my master's, I conducted a practicum project with the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) at CalEPA, gaining valuable insights into hazardous chemicals and enhancing my project management skills. This experience deepened my understanding of how policy and science intersect to address environmental challenges. Previously, I served as a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department, sharing my expertise with future engineers. After graduating from EPM, I aspire to work in an environmental agency, utilizing my diverse background to contribute to a healthier environment for all.
