Bio

Camille Frazier is a lecturer in the Environmental Policy and Governance program in Spring 2026 and is Agricultural Land Equity Program Lead at the California Strategic Growth Council in the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation. She has a PhD in sociocultural anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her book, Cultivating Livability: Food, Class, and the Urban Future in Bengaluru (University of Minnesota Press, 2024), was a finalist for the Pattis Family Foundation Global Cities Book Award in 2025. She has received several awards for her teaching and writing, including the Clarkson University New Teacher Award in 2020 and the Best Paper Prize for her 2019 article in City and Society
