Forest Mentor

We are a nonprofit, land-based outdoor education organization serving children across Yolo, Sacramento, and Placer Counties. Summer is our largest season — we anticipate serving over 450 children in immersive, nature-based camps.
We are currently hiring:
Forest Mentors – starting at $22/hr
Lead Forest Mentors – starting at $25/hr
Details:
• 18–35 hours per week
• Typical shifts: 8:00am–2:00pm
• Locations in Davis and Sacramento/Placer Counties
This role is similar to a camp counselor, but fully outdoors, hands-on, and based on ecological education and child-led exploration.
We are looking for individuals who:
• Love working with children
• Feel at home outdoors
• Are interested in ecology, wildlife, early childhood development, education, or related fields
• Value community, leadership, and meaningful work
