Apply today and join our team. The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water in the Sacramento District office has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 19th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 and will be relocated to 11020 Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 by March 2026.
Duties: Prepare permit reports for public water systems, permits, inspect public water systems, prepare inspection reports, review public water system activities (operation, water quality monitoring, reporting, etc.) for compliance with federal and state Safe Drinking Water Act and statutes and regulations, monitor water quality results, prepare enforcement letters, citations, and compliance orders. Work with the Division of Drinking Water (DDW) Northern California Section District offices (four offices) regarding public water system compliance with the Federal Lead and Copper Rule requirements and mandates. The position requires independent travel from office to public water systems in Alpine, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties. Also, overnight stays may be required.
