Your Opportunity
Stantec’s Sacramento office located on C-Street is seeking an entry-level Public Participation Consultant to join our team working on integrated water management and safe drinking water projects in the Western United States. This is a role for a talented and entrepreneurial individual that is passionate about water with experience in multi-party collaborative processes, community outreach and engagement, multi-media resources and tools such as graphic design, web and content development, and interactive media. The selected candidate will join a team of public affairs and community water planning professionals each committed to delivering sound and strategic consulting services to a range of local, regional, state, and federal clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Development of reader-friendly technical information materials to inform and engage beneficial users and uses of water and other important natural resources.
- Planning for in-person, online, or “hybrid” public and agency meetings, including coordination of logistics, development of corresponding educational or presentational materials, notetaking support and implementation of other strategic outreach efforts.
- Gaining and applying experience in California water resources management and governance, applicable laws/policies/regulations, and community engagement best practices.
- Applying experience in developing of multi-media tools and resources such as graphic design, web and content media, social media, and interactive media.
- Performing project administration tasks, including preparation of reports and memos, gathering information and design documents, drafting correspondence, and other activities as needed.
- Traveling within California as-needed for project work, not to exceed 30%.
