Trish grew up in the Bay Area and received her B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from Sacramento State in 2016 and an A.S. in Natural Science with a focus in Geology and Oceanography in 2020. Trish regularly volunteers with Save The Bay on wetland restoration efforts and currently works for a community based nonprofit organization that provides access to hygiene for people experiencing homelessness. She is passionate about the many ways human rights and climate issues intersect. She is currently exploring specializations, and is most interested in Spatial Information Systems, Climate Change Science, and Marine Resource/Conservation Management. Trish hopes her knowledge of the sciences, nonprofit sector, and working with underrepresented groups with little to no access to water will translate well into working on interdisciplinary climate solutions that will benefit highly affected communities and ecosystems. An ideal career would be one that allows her to travel the globe working on numerous marine and community pollutant research projects, and develop new innovative ways to continue the fight against the effects of climate change. In her free time, she enjoys swimming in lakes and oceans, cooking, and spending quality time in nature with her family and dog.
